From the director of Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers, Paprika is Satoshi Kon's latest meditation on the conflict between technology and humanity.

Technology has been developed for psychotherapy that allows one to view a patient's dreams and a team of doctors have developed an experimental way for the user to enter into and control the dreams of a patient. When this prototype machine is stolen the wearer of the machine can go from dream state into the waking world causing havoc throughout Tokyo. Enter Paprika, a dream superhero. Can she stop the "psycho terrorists" before it's too late?

Paprika is a thrilling tour-de-force of visual invention, using animation as an open-form that is not bound by any laws of photographic cinematography. Every frame is packed with imagination and plays like a head-on collision between Hello Kitty and Philip K. Dick.
