Live Performance & Screening.
Whether working with such visionaries as Jarmusch, Lynch, and Van Sant or starring in Hollywood blockbusters like Back to the Future and Charlie’s Angels, he can always be relied on to steal the show.
Now, however, Crispin Hellion Glover (River’s Edge, Wild at Heart, Dead Man) may have found his most challenging collaborator yet, merely by looking in the mirror.
Glover’s new film It Is Fine! EVERYTHING IS FINE ventures into uncharted cinematic territory as screenwriter Steven C. Stewart stars in this semi-autobiographical, psycho-sexual tale about a man with severe cerebral palsey, his life and love affairs. Part horror film, part exploitation picture and part documentary, Glover’s vision is eloquent and bizarre with a pronounced sense of the strange, often reminiscent of Buñuel, Herzog or Lynch.
The screening will be preceded by an hour-long dramatic presentation of the “Big Slide Show”, a live performance from Crispin Glover featuring illustration and commentary from eight of his books, and will be proceeded by a Q & A session and book signing.
Wildly impassioned and macabrely fascinating. New York Times
As surprising for its visual boldness — as it is for its sincerity.
Time Out
Those who are easily offended should not attend.
