PIGEON & PLUM'S ELECTRIC PICTURE PALACE
WEDNESDAY 1 APRIL 8PM
THE BLACK BOX

£10 BOOK ONLINE
Messers PIGEON & PLUM would like to celebrate the work of Charles Chaplin, not only a movie star of great legend but a star of British Music Hall, the arena where he honed his skills as a performer before live audiences all over the UK long before making his colossal mark on Hollywood and the world.

One place he visited was our wee town of Belfast and to celebrate, PIGEON & PLUM will whisk you back to a luscious Edwardian Cinema of yesteryear.
The people that brought you the legendary "Vaudeville Circus Extravaganza" shows will transform the Black Box into a picture house from the Golden Age of Cinema. As you pass through the red velvet curtains, past the rickety old Box Office and the warm glow of the Hot Popcorn stall, you will be shown to your seats by our Victorian ushers as the shimmering moving pictures will gently ease you back to a legendary milestone of human storytelling and modern cinema, with live variety performers from the world of Music Hall featured through out the night. Your Chairman for the evening - Mr Finchley Appleton.

Main Feature: Charles Chaplins "The Kid" (with recorded sound!) + other short moving pictures.
