Maeve Murphy’s second feature, Beyond the Fire is the follow up to the critically acclaimed, Silent Grace.

Sheamy (Scot Williams), an Irish ex-priest recently released from prison, arrives in London searching for his former mentor in faith, Father Brendan (Hugh Sachs).

On his arrival he becomes romantically involved with Katie (Cara Seymour), a survivor of rape, who wants to get her life up and running again. As their relationship develops, Katie tries to hold on to her dreams and in some respects exorcises her demons, however Sheamy, who is still trying to come to terms with his past, keeps everything bottled up and is unsure where he’s going. Is Sheamy trapped, doomed by past, fate – or can he finally find justice?
