Ciaran Hinds receives award for 'Outstanding Contribution to Film and Television'

| | | |  | | | | | | | | | Belfast born actor Ciarán Hinds is the first recipient of the inaugural ‘Belfast Sink’ Award presented by the Belfast Film Festival to Hinds for his ‘Outstanding Contribution to Cinema & Television’.
Award winning ceramicist Steven Farnan was commissioned by the festival to produce a piece of ceramic art based on the iconic household jaw-box sink. Its association with Belfast’s industrial history, and its reputation as a design classic made it the ideal inspiration for the creation of the new award to mark the 10th anniversary of the film festival.
