| | | | | | | | Proving to be the king of the bee films in the past year, Colony both informs about the disorder and its impact on human food supplies and becomes a riveting depiction of how small changes in the environment can have monumental effects on our lives.
It follows a couple of key characters. David Mendes who becomes a belated champion galvanising American beekeepers in a common cause fighting a giant pharmaceuticals company.
We also meet a traditional, fundamentalist Christian family who have their beliefs and love tested by the tragedy of a failing business. The passion with which these stories are told is gripping, leaving you on the edge of your seat hoping for success as those on screen struggle to keep their colonies alive.
