If your nightmares include being plucked off a beach by a giant squid, this could be the film for you...

An alien mist, brought to Earth by an unmanned space probe that crashes on a Pacific island, causes local animals (a squid, a crab and a snapping turtle) to mutate into giant monstrosities that wreak havoc on a resort construction site. Space Amoeba is one of the more surreal and arguably the last of the classic Toho giant monster movies.

The film was the last to combine the artistic talents of director Ishiro Honda (of Godzilla fame), producer Tomoyuki Tanaka with a musical score by Akira Ifukubie.
