Haskell Wexler is one of Hollywood’s most influential and revered cinematographers and a man not afraid to rock the boat and speak out about injustices. Over the years he has chronicled America's radical underbelly in documentaries that display his progressive political views. He has won two Oscars for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) and Bound for Glory (1976), as well as working on some of the most radical styles of film-making to come out of the US, such as on John Cassavettes Faces.
Wexler’s career spans almost 6 decades - shooting, writing and directing over 60 features and more than 100 documentaries, he is without doubt one of the greatest craftsmen in his field.
