One Man’s Struggle to Take It Easy.

Our boy Ferris (Matthew Broderick) is a slacker. He’s taking the day off. He’s picking up his girl, his best friend and his best friend’s father’s car (“a 1961 Ferrari 250GT.”) and hitting the town. They take in a Cubs game, hang out at the Sears Tower, and Ferris sings during a parade in the streets of downtown Chicago. Written and directed by John Hughes; the master of the 1980’s teen comedy - this is probably one of the quintessential movies of the ‘me’ decade and easily one of the most oft-quoted films in the last 20 years.

Dir. John Hughes – 1986 - 102 mins - PG - Paramount Pictures
