Oska Bright is a film festival for people with a learning disability it is managed and the films are created by learning disabled artists and film-makers. It is the first festival of its kind in the world. We would like to welcome people with learning disabilities and members of the public to be part of the audience for the festival. Started in 2004 Oska Bright has been seen by more than 10,000 people throughout the UK and Ireland. Belfast Film Festival is proud to host Oska Bright’s first festival in Northern Ireland which will include a series of screenings of short films and master classes.
Master-classes are open to people with learning disabilities who have an interest in film and film making. The people in the master classes will work together with the Oska Bright team to help create a 20 second film by the end of the workshop. This will help to show people with a learning disability how they could create a film themselves.
