Woody Allen is one of the cinema’s greatest storytellers and Cassandra’s Dream is a powerful and thrilling story about two brothers Terry and Ian (Ewan McGregor & Colin Farrell) who are desperate to better their troubled lives. One is a chronic gambler in debt over his head, and the other is a young man in love with a beautiful actress he has recently met. Their lives gradually become entangled into a sinister situation when their uncle Howard arrives in town in an uncharacteristic panic; he’s embroiled in some nasty legal business, and he needs his loyal nephews to save the day. Trouble is the favour he requests is far from legal. It will ultimately pit Terry and Ian against each other the way only shared guilt can.
