A story of sex, corruption and murder with noir undertones.
Set in Rome 1948, Orson Welles (Danny Huston) wants to revive his floundering film career and recuperate from his divorce from Rita Hayworth. While in Italy, Welles has been offered money to make a new movie of Othello. More to the point he is diverted from his melancholy by the tempestuous, beautiful and elusive actress Lea (Paz Vega). Intrigue follows after the death of an actor on set and the appearance of a list of names that includes prominent business and political figures, one of whom was brutally murdered some weeks before. What can the list mean? And why is Orson Welles’s name on it?
